Today the CFU ( Caribbean Football Union ) Caribbean Cup kicks off in  Antigua and Barbuda from the 7 – 16 December, this is a qualification tournament for 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup which takes place in the  USA between the 7 – 28 July 2013. There are 4 places up for grabs for the forth coming Gold Cup 2013 and 8 teams competing which are  Antigua and Barbuda Jamaica ( current holders ),  Haiti French Guiana Dominican Republic Martinique Trinidad and Tobago and  Cuba.

As well as a coveted qualification spot there is also qualification prize money which is pivotal in advancing the development of  grass roots Football/Soccer within countries who fall under CONCACAF  federation. 1st place $100 k US, 2nd place $75 k US, 3rd place $50 k US and 4th place $30 k US.
