The FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2012 officially started on the 6/12/12 seven teams are competing for the chance to become the best football club in the world. All the competing clubs are respective winners of their FIFA confederation, This years Cup also marks history with the use of Goal Line Technology in a major Cup competition for the first time. This years teams are Al-Ahly SC, Auckland City FC, CF Monterrey, Chelsea FC, Corinthians, Sanfrecce Hiroshima and Uslan Hyundai. So far 3 matches have been played  Sanfrecce Hiroshima 1 v Auckland City FC 0, Uslan Hyundai 1 v CF Monterrey 3 and Sanfrecce Hiroshima 1 v Al-Ahly SC 2.

3 More matches will be played in the next two days before the match for 3rd place and the final kicks off on the 16th. English European champions Chelsea FC making their début in the competition face Mexican CONCACAF Champions CF MonterreyCF Monterrey will be well up for the match after defeating Korean Republic team Uslan Hyundai so Chelsea FC need to hit the ground running to reach the final.

The BBC/HD will be televising The FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2012 from the 12th via the BBC Red button. Egyptian side Al-Ahly SC  face Brazilian side Corinthians in an 10:30 am kick off.
