The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations South Africa
Between the 19th January and the 10th Febuary the 29th African Cup of Nations takes place in South Africa. 16 teams from the CAF are divided into 4 groups with the tournament opening match between the host nation South Africa and Cape Verde at The National Stadium Johannesburg .
It has to be said the groups seem evenly matched although Ethiopia after a 31 year absence have been thrown in the deep end with Cup holders Zambia and a strong Nigerian team in there group. Tottenham FC striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been called up to the Togo squad which will certainly make group D interesting. This also marks the return of the Togo team since being outrageously banned for 2 years and fined $50,000 by the CAF following the withdrawal of the team due to the 2010 armed ambush of the Togalise team bus incident.
EuroSport will be televising The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations from the 19th with the Final televised on 10th Febuary on ITV 4/HD also.
