A Space Iliad

What’s up people? today we was listening to Vast Aire’s A Space Iliad EP, New Yorker Vast Aire is also known as a member of Cannibal Ox  and released A Space Iliad EP at the end of January 2013. This is Vast Aire’s 2nd release on Man Bites Dog Records following OX 2010: A Street Odyssey and is a collection of remixes of tracks that  made and never made OX 2010: A Street Odyssey. Aptly named The Iliad is an ancient Greek epic poem about the Trojan War and is looked on as the sequel to Homers poem The Odyssey ( very clever!).

This is a B-Boy album from a B-Boy MC with 10 tracks of Vast Aire’s unorthodox witty battle rap metaphor style, he takes you on a journey with the aid of abstract beats which seem to be perfectly tailored for Vast Aire. I strongly doubt if there are many rappers out there that would be able sit on most of the beats selected for the project. With 10 features from the likes of C Rayz Walz, Sadat X, Sub Con, Copywrite, Karniege, Kenyattah Black, Guilty Simpson, Haze, Context and Double A.B. It was also refreshing to hear UK MC’s Haze (Eurogang) and Context featuring on the album (The Verdict Remix ft Guilty Simpson & Haze and The Cannon Of Samus Remix ft Context & Kenyattah Black) as well as Brand Nubian Sadat X.

10 tracks of B-Boy HipHop!  It almost passes to quick which is a sign of an enjoyable listen!  Below is our stand out tracks and I’m sure you hear why!!!

In no order!!
