The RumFest 2015 Review

RumFest 2015 Review

Hello London last weekend we were at The RumFest 2015 held at London’s ILEC and as to be expected we had a great time at the 9th instalment of the RumFest. With over 400 Rum exhibitors in attendance this year definitely saw an increase of Rum lovers from far and wide so much so it was a complete sell out. The RumFest this year came as the culmination of The Rum Experience Week, click on the link for more information about the Rum Experience Week.

With a friendly carnival atmosphere the only problem is deciding where to start! The Current World Media favorite had to GOLD OF MAURITIUS DARK RUM, which has a very mature oaky but smooth taste.

The Global Rum Ambassador Mr. Ian Burrell was auctioning matured Rum, we saw a 10-year-old St Nicolas Abbey Rum go for £400 overall over £5000 was raised for charity. One of the best parts about the RumFest is over the 2 days you can spend 1 day sampling and come back the next day and purchase it from the RumFest distillery.

Also another feature of the RumFest is the Masterclasses and Seminars with so many mixologist from all around the world this is the best place to be to get premium information on blending cocktails.

So if you are planning on attending the next RumFest make sure you line your stomach before you get there alternatively there is food available at the venue. Nobody likes a person that can’t hold his or her drink in public! So try not to get carried away the shots are plenty and the day is long.

Special thanks to the Full Fat Team
